Bronisław Krystall, son of a wealthy Jewish merchant, was an educated art historian, art patron and collector who bequeathed his rich collections to the National Museum in Warsaw. The book, apart from articles devoted to Krystall’s biography, contains, for the first time, the majority of literary legacy of Bronisław Krystall complete with the catalogue of his collections illustrated with photos of the most valuable objects. The catalogue includes English versions of essays by Krzysztof Załęski on Bronisław Krystall’s life and by Milena Woźniak-Koch discussing Krystall’s activity as art collector and patron.
